Puglia is famous for its olive groves, castles and Romanesque cathedrals, Alberobello's trulli, Lecce's Baroque churches, Castel del Monte's eight superb towers and miles of coastline and beaches. In the midst of all this, is Masseria Pettolecchia, the jewel of the region's fortified masserias. Situated in the region of Fasano, the masseria dates back to 1800 when it was built by the Noble Palmieri, as a country residence. Recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard, it sits in eight hectares of private land with majestic olive and almond trees as well as an organic vegetable garden. The surrounding area, known as “Piana Degli Ulivi Secolari” is one of the most beautiful areas of Puglia where all the olive trees are between 100 – 1000 years old, and protected. As well as being ideally located in such peaceful countryside surroundings, the Masseria is also just 0.5kms from the sea.
The accommodation here comprises impressive living areas, decorated and furnished to a high standard with antiques, paintings and sculptures. There are five spacious bedroom suites with private bathrooms. Within the extensive garden there is large swimming pool, surrounded by a furnished sun terrace, and an outdoor gym. As well as being very suitable for family or group holidays, the property is also an ideal venue for a wedding or other private events.
Masseria Pettolecchia is available for Christmas rentals with some special treats: an English guidebook of Fasano and its surroundings, a Christmas welcome pack with a bottle of local wine and one of our outstanding biological oils produced from the estate's olive trees, and a list of activities available (in house cooking class, olive harvesting, tickets for live nativity scene in Pezze di Greco and many other local traditions).
FOR ALL 2017 BOOKINGS MADE BEFORE THE END OF JANUARY, WE ARE ALSO OFFERING A 15% DISCOUNT.
