- Ovolo Hotels takes home 6 accolades at the 2018 HM Awards including Asia-Pacific Hotelier of the Year.

In front of a record crowd with over 750 hoteliers and industry leaders, Ovolo Hotel’s Founder and CEO was crowned Asia-Pacific Hotelier of the Year at the prestigious HM Awards on September 7. Ovolo was nominated for an impressive 28 awards across both property and people categories taking home 2 additional awards including Best Interior Design for Ovolo Inchcolm Brisbane and HR Associate whilst receiving Highly Commended in 3 categories of Hotel Brand of the Year, Boutique Hotel and Housekeeper.

Ovolo Groups Founder and CEO Girish Jhunjhnuwala said when Ovolo Hotels began its journey in 2010, he had a vision to create a unique brand that questioned (or challenged) the status quo in the hospitality industry.

“Little did I know that our mission to redefine what effortless living is all about in hotel accommodation would drive our innovative F&B offering, the guest experience, FREEBIES offering, or our in-house training and development program aptly named ROCK@Ovolo - we try to make a difference,” said Jhunjhnuwala.

In its 16th year, the HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence are the leading awards for the accommodation industry in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region, recognising exceptional achievement. Held at Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and events precinct ICC Sydney and hosted by Australian TV personality Larry Emdur.
