NIZUC RESORT & SPA CELEBRATES LIFE WITH A SERIES OF NEW ACTIVITIES
30 JUNE 2015 - NIZUC Resort & Spa, the luxurious and secluded Mexican beachfront resort on Punta Nizuc, has launched a series of complimentary daily experiences aimed at taking a holistic approach to guest's wellness. Named NIZUC Life, the programme includes activities such as paddleboard yoga, sound meditation, cross training and a snorkeling tour of the MUSA Underwater Art Museum located just offshore.
Opened just two years ago, NIZUC is home to ESPA's first spa in Mexico and the ethos of wellness goes beyond the 30,000 sq. ft. spa to be woven into every aspect of the 29-acre resort, which opens out onto two beaches as well as protected mangroves. At least two activities are offered every day as part of the NIZUC Life programme and each experience lasts between 60-90 minutes.
Daily NIZUC Life activities include a morning running club through the resort lead by a personal trainer, yoga lessons, adult and junior tennis clinics with NIZUC's PBI tennis professional, guided sound mediation sessions using bowls and gongs, cross training and body conditioning classes, a journey through the wines of the oldest winery in Mexico, Bodegas Santo Tomás in the Guadalupe Valley, and paddleboard yoga sessions, which are designed to intensify core strength and balance through a series of yoga moves balanced on a paddleboard in the shallow waters of the beach. The programme also includes a snorkeling trip on NIZUC's private boat to view the new series of underwater figures and sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor submerged in the NIZUC area of the MUSA underwater contemporary art gallery.
The NIZUC Life activities are offered on a complimentary basis to all guests and are bookable advance via guest's personal concierge up to and including the day of their desired activity. Also available at an extra cost are preferred tee times at Cancun's newest golf course, Riviera Cancun Golf, located just five minutes from NIZUC and designed by Jack Nicklaus.
A garden view double room at NIZUC Resort & Spa is priced from US$500 (from £318) per room per night including taxes. For more information or to make a booking, go to www.nizuc.com
