Nisbet Plantation Offers Special Rates For Nevis Triathlon

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club

The Commonwealth Games have reinforced the growth in interest in triathlons that was triggered by the London Olympics. And the interest is not just in watching the event but actually taking part and athletes are now travelling around the world to take part in their favourite sport.  One triathlon that is attracting a growing number of UK participants is on the small Caribbean island of Nevis.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, 14 November with a choice of three distances:  International Long, Olympic and Sprint to suit athletes of all abilities.  For those who have never tried a triathlon, the Sprint distance is an ideal introduction consisting of a 750m run, 20km bike ride and 5km run.

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is offering participants a special rate for athletes looking for a relaxing retreat to enjoy before and after the event.  The resort is offering a rate of US$368 per night, based on two adults sharing a Superior room on a bed and breakfast basis, including return airport transfers for athletes and their bikes.  The rate is available for stays of a minimum of five nights.

Flights are available with BA to St Kitts with Nisbet Plantation arranging boat transfers to Nevis.

There will be five days of activities before the race day no 14 November including a sightseeing tour of the island, an introduction to the bike and swim courses and the chance to take part in a charity run or walk in aid of the local Nevis Pink Lily Cancer Care Foundation.
