Niquesa Launches New Italian Culinary Experience Packages

Luxury Italian hotel collection Niquesa has announced a range of new culinary packages for the autumn/winter season, giving food lovers the opportunity to experience some of the delicious wine and cuisine that makes the country famous.

From truffle hunting in Tuscany to wine tours in Veneto, Niquesa has a range of culinary packages on offer. To celebrate the beginning of autumn, Niquesa is also offering all new room bookings made in October a €25 food and beverage voucher which can be redeemed in the restaurants and bars at all six properties in the portfolio. GRAND HOTEL CONTINENTIAL, SIENA

Tuscan Truffle Experience

Prices start from £410 per night for two people sharing.

Embark on a foraging expedition to uncover delectable truffles in the stunning Crete Senesi countryside on this two night break with the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. The Crete Senesi region is known for its production of white truffles and also hosts a festival dedicated to the rare fungus every November. Guests booked on to the experience package with Niquesa will take part in truffle hunting with an expert guide from the I Loghi traditional Tuscan farmhouse, followed by a truffle inspired lunch or dinner. This package includes a transfer with private driver to and from meeting point to the truffle farm. The package is available this autumn/winter during the truffle season from £466 based on two people sharing an executive double room on a bed and breakfast basis for a minimum for two nights. Guests can also visit during April and August from £435 and between November and March from £410. Truffle shaped chocolate pralines by Chef Lucu Ciaffarafa will also be in guests room upon arrival.

The Tuscan Gourmet

Prices start from £246 per night for two people sharing.

Stay in the heart of the city and discover the delights of Sienese cuisine and wine in the palatial Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. Take a romantic candlelit dinner in the hotel's wine cellar, Enoteca SaporDivino, which is hidden beneath the hotel's once-lost medieval tower and carved into volcanic rock. The hotel can also organise a wine tasting experience in the heart of Siena with a two hour professionally conducted wine class, or a visit to the estate of San Felice in the renowned wine area of Motalcino in the heart of Tuscany.  The package starts from £246 for a two night break in a double room. The price includes a daily buffet breakfast, wine tasting for two in the hotel's cellar and a gourmet tasting dinner for two in the hotel's Sapordivino restaurant, including wines selected by the sommelier.

HOTEL VILLA MICHELANGELO, VICENZA

Veneto Wine Experience at the Hotel Villa Michelangelo, Vicenza

Prices start from £212 per night for two people sharing.

Discover and taste the most famous wines and delicacies from the Veneto region on this short break to Vicenza. Staying at the stunning Hotel Villa Michelangelo, guests will get to taste the delicacies of local Acrugnano, from excellent Merlot, Red Tai and Black Pinot to DOP cheese including Grana Padano and the region's popular extra virgin Euganei-Berici olive oil. The package includes a gourmet tasting meal for two at the La Loggia restaurant including four courses with accompanying regional wines, as well as a fruit basket and a bottle of regional Cavazza on arrival. The dinner, bed and breakfast deal starts from £212.
