NH Hotel Group, part of Minor Hotels, has been included for the fourth consecutive year in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for its commitment to gender equality policies and transparency in its performance as a listed company.
The company has obtained a score above the global threshold established by Bloomberg thanks to its commitment and performance in gender equality issues through five aspects: female leadership and talent flow, equal pay, inclusive culture, policies against sexual harassment and pro-woman brand. Specifically, NH Hotel Group stood out for its commitment to female leadership and talent, as well as its equal pay and gender parity policies.
NH Hotel Group is the only Spanish hotel chain included in this benchmark index and one of only two hotel companies over all (together with Marriot International Inc). In this 2023 edition, the GEI index is made up of 484 companies.
Ramón Aragonés, CEO of NH Hotel Group, expressed his satisfaction at being included, for the fourth consecutive year, in this Bloomberg Gender Equality Index. “Once again, our position in this index recognises our commitment and the progress we have made in this area. Undoubtedly, it motivates us to continue with the same line of work by promoting and encouraging the talent of women, as well as transparency in gender equality”.
Currently, the c.12,800 employees of the Company come from 141 different nationalities. Of these, 22% work in countries other than their own. In addition, 51% of the total workforce are women, who occupy 44% of all management positions. In terms of age, in 2022, the percentage of employees over 40 years of age has reached almost 52%, while those between 25 and 40 years of age is 48%, and the percentage of employees under 25 years of age is 12%.
This recognition reflects the clear commitment of NH Hotel Group to its staff and the commitment to diversity as a key factor in developing a network of diverse talents, able to understand the needs of customers, innovate and reflect society in today's business world. Therefore, it is a fundamental pillar of the company's corporate culture, based on diversity, equality and inclusion.

The recognition by Bloomberg GEI over the last four years shows that continuing with a long-term project of real management of employee diversity in all its aspects and supporting their professional development within the Group is a clear priority for the company.
