Next Generation Conservation for Mustique…

Next generation conservation for Mustique…

…as the island leads the charge to actively involve guests in eco-conscious luxury travel in the Caribbean...

Snorkel to the coral nursery - In 2015 the Mustique marine conservation team stuck their flag firmly in the sand with the launch of a pioneering coral restoration project. Nowadays this is a thriving coral nursery with guests young and old regularly diving or snorkelling with the island's Environmental Manager and her team to visit the nursery and assist with the cleaning and measuring of the coral.

Fantastic plastic marine art is hugely popular with monthly competitions to clear the sea of debris washing up. Prizes for the most unusual debris found, best upcycled sculpture, best costume made out of sea debris and the best camouflaged mule are hotly contested!

Earth Hour Mustique will join millions of people around the world for WWF's Earth hour on 24th March as the lights on island will go off and guests are invited to a 'moon and Stars' beach party lit by bonfires and tiki torches on renowned Macaroni Beach.

Micro-volunteering Day On 15th April guests on island will be invited to 'Do Good – Feel Good' and join the Mustique Conservation Team on myriad on island activities running throughout the day, from the island's turtle project to assisting in the permaculture gardens.

Environmental Kids Camps are running fortnightly during the school holidays. Children are given the opportunity to spend a morning with the island's Environmental Manager making local crafts, junk modelling with marine debris and taking a guided environmental exploration into the wilder areas of Mustique.

7 nights in a Garden Cottage room on a half board basis from £2,745 per person for travel before the 30th August 2018.  Includes economy flights with British Airways and interisland flights.
