Drusillas Park

There is always something new to see and do at the award winning family attraction, Drusillas Park, East Sussex and this year is no exception. Developments planned for 2016 include new arrivals, new events and some exciting new attractions, some of which are highlighted below.

Get Wet!

Opening at Easter, Get Wet is Drusillas Park's brand new attraction for 2016. Following a £300,000 investment, it promises to be the ultimate splash pad experience and a fountain of fun for children of all ages.

The colourful two hundred square metre installation will replace part of the current play area and include a thrilling collection of water jets, ground geysers, twirling streams and spiralling sprays.

Managing Director, Laurence Smith commented: “Get Wet! will provide children with some state-of-the-art sensory water play but above all it will be a great deal of fun. There will be a quieter area for our youngest visitors and a grassed area with benching where adults can relax too. It has been designed and created by water play experts, Ustigate who are the UK's largest splash pad installation company. Work is currently in progress and we are very excited about the final result.”

Serval

During the winter months renovation work has also been underway on an impressive new serval house.

Cool cats, Benson and Kariba were introduced at Drusillas in 2006 and are the zoo's purrfect couple. Once completed their new home will provide them with a host of creature comforts including two large indoor rooms, an introduction area, a raised rockery and a larger, lighter outdoor stomping ground. There will also be improved viewing opportunities for visitors to see these magnificent moggies at close quarters.

New Events

Drusillas always has a varied and fun diary of events on offer with some notable new additions for 2016.

Making their debut appearances at the Park, Bing and Flop will appear on Thursday 18 February, Thursday 02 June and Wednesday 17 August and The Gruffalo will be popping in on Wednesday 30th March too. Don't miss these much loved characters as they meet and greet visitors at intervals during the day in the Events Arena. Plus there will be all the old favourites including Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig & George, Leo & Raph from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ben and Holly.
