New Ways to Explore Indochina With Insider Journeys

Insider Journeys

Asia specialist introduces more local experiences in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos

With more and more travellers seeking the cultural appeal, enticing climate, spectacular coastline and surprising value of Indochina, Asia specialist tour operator Insider Journeys has come up with new ways for travellers to explore this phenomenal part of the world as an insider.

The operator's newly-introduced 2016-17 'Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos' private travel brochure is bursting with inspiring ideas, expert recommendations, new design-your-own touring and private travel itineraries, alongside detailed guides and maps of the region, as well as plenty of ideas on how to enjoy a blissful beach break in Asia.

Insider Journeys is continuing to notice increased demand for beach holidays in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, and has launched a new 4-day 'Kep Seaside Escapade' covering Cambodia's breathtaking coastline which can be incorporated into a longer tailor-made itinerary. From just £526 per person, customers can enjoy a city tour of Sihanoukville and unwind at the stylish Knai Bang Chatt in the idyllic seaside town of Kep, nestled in the foothills of a national park, before hopping on a boat to uncover the little-visited Rabbit Island, located off the country's southern coast in the Gulf of Thailand – a truly beautiful and undiscovered corner of Indochina.

In addition, Insider Journeys' new 'Kratie Dolphin Discovery' visits the charming riverside town of Kratie in Cambodia's east, perched on the Mekong. Here guests will board a small boat for a unique wildlife excursion to spot endangered Irrawaddy river dolphins on a journey from Kratie to the surrounding countryside, passing traditional stilt houses and rice fields along the way. The private tour starts from only £343 per person, including two nights' accommodation, touring and local experiences throughout eastern Cambodia.

Insider Journeys boasts a huge collection of insider experiences that reveal the 'real' Asia and has been helping customers create unique experiences for over 22 years. New for 2016, the operator has taken it up a notch by allowing independent travellers to design their own day's touring by meeting with their guide to plan a day of sightseeing and activities tailored to their personal interests for a completely unique experience.

Many personalised tours are complemented by a concierge service in its featured gateway cities, with an expert guide available 24/7 to answer any questions on how to get around, what to do, current local events and more. This gives the independent traveller the best of both worlds – a tour totally tailored to their individual desires and all the benefits of local knowledge, with handpicked hotels, guided sightseeing with expert leaders, private transportation, the security of 24-hour support and more.

Editor's notes

Insider Journeys has been operating small group journeys, tailor-made travel and river cruises to the 'real' Asia for 22 years, formerly under the name Travel Indochina. Today, the company features the widest range of itineraries and departures to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos than any other tour operator in the UK, as well as a large variety of journeys to Thailand, Burma, China and Tibet, India, Japan, Bhutan, Mongolia and Sri Lanka. Unlike many other travel companies, Insider Journeys limits its group size to a maximum of 16 people. These smaller groups enable travellers to gain the best from both worlds – greater access to the local culture and Insider Experiences, and plenty of opportunity for independent exploration.
