Travel for visitors to Palm Springs now cheaper and more comfortable than ever!
Travel to the city of Palm Springs is now even easier than ever with the launch of Tesloop, a modern alternative rideshare service that runs between the city and Los Angeles, enabling visitors to transfer straight to the city, for as little as $29, in a luxury Tesla Model X SUV. With the launch of a new free trolley service called 'The BUZZ', travel within the city is also now even easier, for both visitors and residents alike.
Just a two-hour drive from LA, boasting 350 days of sunshine with less than 5.2 inches of rain every year, Palm Springs is the ideal holiday destination for chilly Brits looking for some winter sun this year. With a pick up point less than a mile away from LAX, at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel, the launch of Tesloop means visitors can access Palm Springs from the airport in more comfort than ever before.
With a variety of free amenities for passengers riding in Tesloop's fleet of cars including Wifi, phone charging, healthy snacks and drinks, curated music selections, noise cancelling headphones and five kinds of pillow, the service is specifically designed to help re-energise travellers. Operating like an airline, whereby customers book a single seat for a fixed price, in a vehicle driven by a trained Tesloop “Pilot”, the ultra-modern service picks up and drops off in a range of fixed locations in Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Orange County. With only a few people per car, Tesloop can offer individualised pick up options, to and from eight designated locations in Palm Springs, including the Desert Hills Premium Outlet Centre, Palm Springs Visitor Centre and the Palm Springs Convention Centre as well as a number of hotels, with fares from $29 (£23.80) for a one-way seat.
Tesloop is the latest addition to a range of fantastic transport options in Palm Springs, which includes “The BUZZ”, a free shuttle service that recently launched in the city. Running every Thursday to Sunday, from 11am to 1am, the service travels in a loop from Smoketree Lane and East Palm Canyon Drive, north via Escuela with 30 stops along the way. With four shuttles operating simultaneously, 'The BUZZ' ensures that passengers never wait more than 15 minutes for a ride.
With many of Palm Springs' fantastic hotels offering free bicycles for guests, the launch of Tesloop and 'The BUZZ', in addition to the existing public transport, taxi and car rental services in Palm Springs, it has never been so easy, or so cheap, to visit and explore this exciting city and discover everything that it has to offer.
