Around and About Bath is a new tour company based in Bath and has been running for only a month. Unlike traditional tour companies with their focus on sightseeing, we aim to share with travellers an experience of 'authentic, hidden quintessential England'. In other words we take visitors off the beaten track and to the places that travellers imagine England to be based on the books they read, the films they see and the art they admire.

We deliberately don't say exactly where we are going or what we will discover as that is part of the magic, however our initial reviews on TripAdvisor have been overwhelmingly effusive and encouraging.

We are running an abridged press tour on Wednesday 7th September (from 11am to 4.30pm from Bath) for any journalists wishing to experience our tours, have a great day out complete with coffee, lunch and tea and a humerous and engaging guide.

Our Stonehenge and Secret Somerset tour combines a visit to one of the most iconic ancient structures in the world with a journey into 'secret Somerset', to discover stunning vistas, sleepy villages and beguiling stories. The price includes entrance to Stonehenge, morning coffee, lunch*, afternoon tea and cake and a day with an entertaining and knowledgeable guide.

My husband and I are a late-twenties working professional couple and before booking with Jules, we knew we were NOT looking for a cookie-cutter tour and instead wanted to truly EXPERIENCE the English countryside and feel its beauty. We booked the Stonehenge and Secret Somerset tour with Jules. This day granted ALL my wishes and much, much MORE. Let me tell you, I got to live out my dreams of going back to 18th century Britain (any Jane Austen fans?) and immersed myself in so many quaint little countryside villages and loved that we had traditional afternoon tea in a beautiful English garden. I also learned SO much in-depth history about the villages and areas we visited that I would have never gotten had we booked with someone else not as knowledgeable as Jules. He is truly a unique guide and shared interesting and in-depth insights, stories and history. He grew up in the area and it felt like we were being taken on a day trip by a dear friend...he is not a typical tour guide.

This definitely is NOT a "hop-on, hop-off" type of bus tour. You will get a truly immersive experience.
