New Sunrise Photography Cruise

Destination Port Stephens

Keen landscape, wildlife and nature photographers will have the chance to capture the beauty of Port Stephens at sunrise on a new three-hour Sunrise Photography Cruise on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at 6.30am.

Hosted by local operator, Moonshadow Cruises, the cruise aims to offer ideal photo opportunities while exploring intimate, out-of-the-way locations only accessible by boat. The cruise will also endeavour to show photographers an array of sea and coastal wildlife, including dolphins, seals, turtles, penguins, albatross, eagles, pelicans and, given the time of year, whales.

Upon boarding, photographers will enjoy a cup of tea and coffee as the boat cruises the eastern harbour with its rocky headlands, secluded sandy beaches and unspoiled islands. On the return trip a delicious breakfast will be provided.

Professional photographer, Bonita Holmes, will be on board to offer advice and handy tips.

The Sunrise Photography cruise will cost $69 for adults, $64 concession and $35 for high school students. Photographers are advised to bring their own camera equipment, warm clothes and sea sickness remedy if required. Boarding will be at the cruise passenger wharf in Nelson Bay at 6.15am.

Advance bookings are essential and can be made by calling 02 4984 9388.
