NetChalets is a brand new service that aims to link holiday makers with independent chalet and apartment owners in ski resorts across the world.

It's launching for the 2016-17 winter ski season and is now taking bookings from prospective skiers and snowboarders looking to build their own chalet experience. 

Chalets or apartments can be searched for under specific criteria or prospective customers can post requests that are then sent to chalet owners and operators that automatically match their detailed criteria - chalet owners can answer those requests directly. The service aims to offer the user the chance to create their perfect holiday based on their wishes – alternatively, browse through all the available options to find inspiration and ideas.

There's both catered and non-catered chalets and apartments available, with nine countries and around four hundred properties already listed on the website. This list is continually growing with new chalets and apartments being added on a daily basis.

Founder of NetChalets, Kris Hunt, comments: “We've always found it difficult to find great independent properties - package deals were easy - but if you wanted to find something that suited you better, or just wanted to try somewhere different, it could sometimes feel like looking for something that didn't exist. We launched NetChalets for the 2016-17 winter season to help people link directly with their ideal ski chalet.”

The service is free of charge and directly links the holidaymaker with the chalet or apartment owner – booking is then arranged directly with the owner or operator and not NetChalets, meaning zero commission to the operators or charges for consumer. Owners or operators of chalets and apartments pay an annual listing fee that also provides access to the requests area on the website.

Prices of accommodation vary but start from less than £50 per night for self-catered stays and go up to over £40,000 a week for an entire fully catered luxury chalet.
