Press release 26 July, 2016: Ibis Sydney Airport's $4 million refurbishment has added a touch of warmth and style to the property's 200 guest rooms and soon to be new exterior.
Local Sydney designer Carmen Glenister of Opera Studio Design, has led the project, modernising all rooms to boast new space saving furnishings, bed heads, carpet, updated bathroom fixtures and wall-mounted TV units. The rooms also feature ibis' signature Sweet Beds, guaranteeing guests a restful night's sleep.
The refresh positions ibis Sydney Airport as the perfect choice for those wanting space to relax in-between lengthy layovers that won't break the bank. Located a short walk from the Domestic Terminal or a 15 minute drive from International Terminal, guests can taxi, train or catch the hotel shuttle to and from the airport at any time of day.
“This refurbishment has lifted not only the look and feel of the rooms, but also the comfort level, allowing our guests to relax and unwind before, during or after their journey,” said Natalie Bussenschutt, General Manager, ibis Sydney Airport.
The hotel is currently undergoing an external facelift with rendering and painting which is expected to be completed in August.
Experience ibis Sydney Airport's new rooms firsthand with the Stay, Park and Fly Package priced from $229, which offers overnight accommodation, return airport shuttle transfers for two and five nights' car parking.
