'The Big Night In' – New private cinema experience launched for guests at Lakeland inn

As the nights draw in, one boutique inn bordering the Lakes and the Dales is offering a new movie experience for guests to enjoy some big screen action in the luxury of their own private cinema.

From September, the Sun Inn in Kirkby Lonsdale is teaming up with home technology specialists Majik House to offer exclusive cinema packages for private groups of up to 6 people.

Guests of the Sun Inn can choose an evening at the nearby Majik House, where they will have sole use of this incredible venue and enjoy a movie of their choosing with all the benefits of the big screen experience – everything from luxurious individual leather recliners to the obligatory pizza and pop corn.
The 'Big Night In' includes:

•    Exclusive use of the Majik House, including its private cinema room. With a 130” screen and 4K HD projector, it's the envy of any multiplex - the audio system is Dolby Atmos standard and is the only one of its kind outside London.

•    The choice of any movie available through Apple TV, ranging from the latest blockbusters to all time classics.  

•    Ultimate comfort with luxurious reclining chairs, some with built-in massagers. There are built-in cup-holders too, to keep drinks either steaming hot or ice cool.

•    Homemade pizza, plus popcorn and ice-cream to enjoy during the movie.

•    Access to a separate lounge and chill out room with plush furnishings and shaggy carpet. There is a sleek kitchen with all mod cons too, so guests can even bring their own wine or rustle up a hot drink if they prefer.

•    Chauffeur driven transport for up to 6 people to and from the Sun Inn (5 min journey)

•    An exclusive sneak peek at a range of innovative gadgets and state-of-the-art in-room entertainment. Majik House have created bespoke cinema rooms for a whole host of famous TV and sporting personalities over recent years, with their own cinema being a stunning showpiece for what's possible in 'the home of your dreams'.
    
 
The 'Big Night In' is exclusive to Sun Inn guests and lasts approximately 3 hours in total, depending on the length of film. The experience is available seven days a week (subject to availability) and bookable at least two weeks in advance.

After an evening of big screen action, guests will be whisked back to the five star Sun Inn, which was recently highlighted as a 'local gem' in the Good Food Guide 2015. There, they can indulge in further foodie treats in the 2 AA rosette-rated restaurant or cosy up with some traditional Cumbrian ales in front of a roaring log fire. Then it's up to one of the eleven individually-styled bedrooms to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.

Just 6 miles from the M6 motorway but set against miles of unspoilt countryside, Kirkby Lonsdale itself is nestled between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. This historic market town has plenty of olde worlde charm, scenic walks and an array of independent retailers, so is the perfect place to ease away the autumn blues.

B&B rates at the Sun Inn start from £112 per room, per night, based on two people sharing. The 'Big Night In' movie experience costs an additional £150 for 2 people, £200 for 4 or £250 for 6 people.
