Alyce Carter is the new Public Relations contact for major Queensland tourism operator Cruise Whitsundays, as current PR Manager, Danielle Krista, takes some time off for the impending arrival of her second child.

Based in the Whitsundays and already working within the PR and Sales team at Cruise Whitsundays, Ms Carter is well known amongst her colleagues as a passionate ambassador for Cruise Whitsundays.

She brings to the role a background in marketing roles in Melbourne, as well as the past two and a half years as Sales and Media Coordinator for Cruise Whitsundays.

Cruise Whitsundays General Manager Sales and Marketing Chris Phillips said it would be an easy transition for Cruise Whitsundays stakeholders and media partners, most of whom already knew Ms Carter well.

"Alyce brings such enthusiasm to her job every day, and is always so thoroughly professional and pleasant to work with, so I am sure our media partners will enjoy working with her," Mr Phillips said.

"I'd also like to thank Danielle Krista who for the past three years has become synonymous with the Cruise Whitsundays brand thanks to her passion and proactive approach to PR; and I wish her the best of luck with next stage of motherhood," he said.

Ms Carter said she was excited to increase the scope of her role.

"The Whitsundays is simply Australia's best tourism destination and a must do, and I love working with traditional media and influencers to showcase our experiences, wow people, and inspire them to travel here," Ms Carter said.

"I look forward to working with all of our stakeholders and media partners to continue our very proactive PR program," she said.

Ms Carter will take over the role from next Monday, 5 December, with Ms Krista finishing up this Thursday, 1 December.
