New at NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong – Japanese Afternoon “T-Set” -- Saturdays & Sundays (launching August 9th)

The ritual and pleasures of Afternoon Tea are an intrinsic part of Hong Kong culture. Now, Afternoon Tea has a new twist and flavour with the launch of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong's new-style Japanese Afternoon “T-Set” – available on Saturdays and Sundays from August 9th onwards.

Enjoy NOBU's innovative new-style Japanese cuisine with a selection of “umami' (savoury) and sweet Japanese delicacies, served with a selection of fine Japanese of Rishouen Green Teas or coffee, all enjoyed with stunning views of VictoriaHarbour and Hong KongIsland.

Umami items include a Yuba Bun, Harumaki, Hokkaido Cheese and Taomagoyaki (egg).

Sweet items include a matcha waffle (served with Lavender honey, goma cream and Japanese apple jam), a mini soba dorayaki (pancake) with Earl Grey ganache and chestnut filling, warabi mocha and an amai spoon.

Rishouen Tea Co. was established in 1947 in Uji by Giichiro Kagata. The family's roots in Uji date back many generations prior to owning their own property dedicated to growing tea trees. Rishouen Tea Co. still maintains ties with many local tea farmers in Uji, the birthplace of Japanese tea.

 

Trained in the art of tea making by his father, Rishouen's tea-master Koji Kagata, who is passionate about tea, dedicates himself to sharing his vast knowledge through various social and cultural activities. He is often gives lectures and participates in ceremonies in Uji, to keep the “Culture” of tea alive amongst the local community.

The NOBU T-Sets are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30pm – 5:00pm (beginning Saturday, August 9th), subject to advance reservations.

NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong is open daily for lunch from 12 noon - 2:30pm and dinner from 6:00pm - 11:00pm and on Saturdays and Sundays for Afternoon Tea from 2:30pm- 5:00pm
