Reflecting its position as one of the island's premier hotels, the ever popular MARITIM Hotel Mauritius will now become known as the 5* MARITIM Resort & Spa Mauritius.
Set in 25 hectares of picturesque tropical gardens overlooking 'Turtle Bay' on the North West coast of the island, the internationally renowned hotel offers 215 elegant and comfortable rooms, including 18 suites, and a choice of five exceptional restaurants, a multitude of sports and leisure activities and a luxurious Tropical Flower Spa.
Over recent years, a focus on new facilities, guest services and additional fine dining experiences have set this property apart from its competitors and reinforced its position as one of the best on the island.
Director of international sales, Mark Spivey, explains: “For more than two decades, we have welcomed guests to our flagship 5* resort, offering exceptional levels of customer service and care. At the newly renamed MARITIM Resort & Spa our focus will be on providing the high end services and facilities expected by those looking for the ultimate luxury holiday in Mauritius.
“Also, renaming the hotel clearly differentiates it from our new property, the 4* MARITIM Crystals Beach Hotel on the East coast which offers the perfect escape for families and those looking for a more affordable holiday in the Indian Ocean.”
MARITIM Hotels is Germany's largest privately owned hotel operator. In addition to 36 hotels in Germany, the company has 14 hotels around the world in locations as diverse as Turkey, Mauritius, China, Egypt, Spain, Latvia and Malta. The group's ongoing expansion continues to strengthen its position in the first class hotel industry in Europe and beyond.
