Stay 2 consecutive nights and receive 'breakfast on the house'
Nestled along the Brisbane River, in the heart of the city, Mercure Brisbane is preparing to unveil the finishing touches of its multi-million dollar rejuvenation and make a warm welcome to its guests this winter.
The quintessential 'River City' hotel, from mid May 2013, will not only boast some of the most spectacular views Brisbane has to offer, but following the renovation, the super stylish 4* hotel will showcase Mercure's beautiful, new design standards throughout all of its rooms, providing excellent value for all.
Guests are invited to take full advantage of Mercure Brisbane's 'new look', exceptional winter prices and Queensland's warmer temperatures, by enjoying a complimentary breakfast buffet with every two consecutive nights booked until 30 September. As the southern states begin to hibernate, guests at Mercure can relax, drift along and enjoy 'breakfast on the house' whilst admiring the view from Quay restaurant.
Adopting the Mercure "Dédicaces" standardised styling approach to room renovation, once complete, interiors at Mercure Brisbane will reflect the area's local character, using vibrant colours, emblazoned black and white imagery of the famous river on the bed heads, and the use of visually striking, space-saving furniture will immediately energise the rooms vibe.
The chic rooms will also be fitted with new bathrooms complete with walk-in showers, large hand basins and LED mirror lights. New lighting, digital LCD TVs, glass fronted fridges, internet access, room safes and clock radios with iPod docks have been installed, adding instant modernity.
Brisbane's winter social calendar is also looking hot, as throughout July Queensland's capital city prepares to welcome Great Britain's smash hit production War Horse at the National Theatre and play host to QMF (Queensland Music Festival), offering the best local, national and international talent.
Visitors in June will be met with one of the most hotly anticipated rugby tours, 12 years in the making, as the British and Irish Lions go head-to head with the Qantas Wallabies at Suncorp Stadium, and for those seeking a touch of glamour, Queensland Oaks Day will be held at the beautiful, old Eagle Farm Racecourse, offering a fashion-feast for the eyes.
Mercure Brisbane's prime, riverside location and close proximity to the City Cat Ferry (North Quay Terminal), which operates between St Lucia and Hamilton, means guests of the hotel can quickly and conveniently explore the city by water.
Alternatively, the bright sights of Brisbane can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, with 16 hectares of cafes, restaurants, cycle paths, gardens, a swimming lagoon and of course vibrant market stalls on offer year-round.
