The 13th Istanbul Biennial runs between 14th September and 20th October 2013. This year, the exhibitions are titled “Mom, am I Barbarian?” and have been curated by Fulya Erdemci. Considered as one of the most prestigious biennials alongside Venice, Sao Paolo and Sydney, the Istanbul Biennial plays an important role in the promotion of contemporary artists not only from Turkey but from a number of different countries in the international arena. Visitors to Istanbul during this period will be able to experience complimentary exhibitions, discussions, films and workshops showing off the best of its contemporary art scene. Located in the heart of the Istanbul’s thriving cultural and arts district, Martı Istanbul in Turkey is the perfect choice for a long cultural weekend in the city, especially during the Biennial period.
