Barrydale Karoo Hotel, one of the last authentic Karoo hotels of the Klein Karoo, that wonderful Arizona-like  part of the Western Cape,South Africa, proudly announces the appointment of new Executive Chef Derek Lowe.

Derek joins us from his previous employ at the Kimberley Club and Boutique Hotel,Kimberley , where his  culinary skills had been enjoyed by the top diamond mining executives in the world for longer than 5 years.

Derek has an illustrious career record ,stretching over 30 years, and will hone his skills on authentic Karoo and Klein Karoo speciality dishes at the Barrydale Karoo Hotel.  His new menu will be launched on Saturday 26 April 2014.We welcome Derek to the Barrydale Karoo Hotel - the best "must-do" stop-over between Cape Town and the Garden Route.
