Registration for the Gold Coast Media Centre (GCMC) is now open for journalists, photographers and freelancers in the lead up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).

The GCMC is your ticket to access Gold Coast and Queensland newsworthy content, story leads, and digital assets, licence free and instantaneous, at the click of a button. Registration is free.

A progressive media centre will provide comprehensive services and assistance for all media including those who aren't able to report directly from the Gold Coast and those not seeking formal GC2018 accreditation.

The GCMC website will offer a newsroom style service providing content for journalists, travel writers, bloggers, and modern storytellers from now through to April 2018.

The GCMC will be located on the iconic Broadbeach foreshore and will give media further access to city filming permits, bookable filming positions, workspaces, free Wi-Fi, Games-time events and media conferences.

In close proximity to the GC2018 Main Media Centre, also in Broadbeach and Festival 2018 entertainment zones, the GCMC will share its position with Commonwealth House, the home of the official Trade 2018 business program.

The GCMC has been established by the City of Gold Coast and Queensland Government in partnership with Tourism and Event Queensland and Gold Coast Tourism. It is aimed at non-accredited media interested in content across a broad range of subjects.
