Mall of America Expansion

As if Mall of America hasn't already captured the heart of shopping aficionados, the shopping tax-free mecca is expanding.  Already taking the title of the largest mall in North America, not one to rest on its laurels, the mall is investing $325million to add space for up to 50 new stores, restaurants and a Marriott hotel.  Work started this month and is scheduled for completion mid 2015.

Barbie™: The Dreamhouse Experience™

The world's most famous fashionista, Barbie® recently took over Bloomington's Mall of America as the iconic Malibu Dreamhouse® has been bought to life and transformed into a unique interactive attraction. 

 Spanning an impressive 30,000 square feet, visitors of all ages can become a living doll and play in Barbie'sworld with nine amazing rooms featuring the signature pink lift, a coveted closet filled with outfits complete with an impressive collection of shoes, and a colourful kitchen where visitors can get artistic with cupcake design.

Tickets are priced from $16.99 with under 2 are free.

CSI: The Experience

This interactive exhibit has captured the creativity of the public as it has toured briefly across the globe, and is now making an appearance at Bloomington's Mall of America.  Featuring the best-loved characters from the hit TV show, visitors use scientific tools and theories with DNA identification and forensic pathology techniques to uncover hypothetical crimes.

Priced $12.99 for children and $16.99 for adults. 

Universe of Light

For the first time, Mall of America guests will be brought together daily for an experience that will take visitors on an emotional journey through music and lights.  Universe of Light will underscore the unexpected and surprising characteristics of Mall of America, combined with the fun, playful nature of Nickelodeon Universe. The nine-minute interactive light show is a free nightly attraction for visitors. Lights, music and smoke effects will transform the air space into a Technicolor dream that is sure to excite and engage.

Ladies and Gentlemen….The Beatles! 

The GRAMMY Museum will be showcasing the Beatles exhibition titled 'Ladies and Gentlemen….The Beatles!'  This elite collection of original photographs, memorabilia, artefacts and exclusive videos links to the special celebration marking the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles arrival in the U.S. 

The exhibition first debuted at the at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center and moves to the Midwest Music Museum inside Mall of America in June.  In addition to the exhibition, The GRAMMY Museum will provide the story of Beatlemania highlighting the cultural impact that music has on society.   The exhibit will run from 5 June to 7 September, 2014.
