In October, New Edition of Xplor Bravest Race

“La Isla” in Cancun and Riviera Maya

•Experiencias Xcaret and TV Azteca reinforce their alliance to catapult

obstacle and pursuit races in Mexico.

• Five competitors in this race will be selected to participate in the fourth

season of the popular Mexican reality show “La Isla”.

On October 19th Cancun and the Riviera Maya will host the obstacle and pursuit competition

Xplor Bravest Race – La Isla, with an estimated attendance of 3 thousand athletes

that will aim to overcome their limits and obtain the prize for being “The Bravest”,

informed the organizing committee.

5 athletes will be chosen among the competitors to star in the reality show “La Isla”

produced by TV Azteca in its 2015 season, due to an alliance between Experiencias Xcaret

and the TV chain to get a foothold among the people that enjoy obstacle and pursuit races.

Xplor Bravest Race - La Isla includes a series of 30 underground and jungle challenges.

It is a 3 mile race where the participants will put their strength, resistance, mental and

physical skills to the test in order to prove their courage and abilities. Along the route,

they will find different obstacles that can be either physical or human in the form of the

“Brave Hunters”. The goal is to reach the finish line hanging on to their “brave flags”

in order to become: The Bravest.

Competitor sign-ups will begin on July 25th with a fee of $980 MXN ($74.20 USD) per

person. However, the organizing committee has set up a number of benefits if the fee

is paid in a timely manner: $680 MXN ($51.50 USD) will be charged if the fee is paid by

August 31st and $780 MXN ($59.00 USD) if the participant signs up and pays between

September 1st and 30th.

Simultaneous to the competition there will be a Bravest Party, a grand celebration with

music bands and DJ´s. There will also be an area where the athletes´ family members

can watch them overcome their limits, as well as a food sale area and The Bravest

Young course where young people under 16 can put their courage, skills and strength

to the test in a challenge created especially for them.

The Xplor Bravest Race – La Isla organizing committee will offer practical weekly

training tips through the social media which will help the competitors to finish this race

successfully through suggestions for specific exercises.
