Cradle Mountain Hotel has undergone a significant transformation during the past year. In addition to a range of refurbishments of the rooms, the dining and gallery experiences are now like never before.
The Wilderness Gallery has had a major redevelopment to showcase Tasmanian artists and provide visitors with interactive and unique experiences that capture the nature, life and love of our island state. The transformation of the gallery has included large installations, spaces for children and a Tasmanian tiger exhibition that provides a glimpse into the life of this elusive animal.
The exciting new arts program includes artist residencies, workshops, exhibitions and tours through the extraordinary photographic collection.
In addition, the gift shop at the Gallery has had a complete renovation, with the addition of a library and reading area, a Tasmanian honey tasting area and an expanded range of local products available for purchase.
Visitors to Cradle Mountain Hotel also now have a more contemporary dining experience with the opening of Altitude Restaurant + Lounge Bar. The restaurant can now cater for more intimate a la carte experiences, as well as opening up the entire space for group dining.
The transformation will continue in August with the refurbishment of our Split Level King rooms, which will include new bathrooms with walk-in showers and the addition of high-quality sofa beds to allow twin rooms to be offered.
