New Centralised Reservation Office For Club Med

Club Med

International leisure group, Club Med will, next month open a new fully-integrated national reservation centre in Sydney.

Club Med General Manager Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Mr Franck Gueguen said the new centre would have state-of-the-art phone systems to ensure maximum efficiency.

At the same time it would provide Travel Agents and consumers around Australia with the personalised service demanded by todays traveller. By centralising our reservation operations we can devote more resources to areas such as staff training and customer relations to provide a first-class service, he said.

With the establishment of the reservation centre in Sydney, Club Med is closing its regional reservations offices and appointing Sales Development Managers in each state.

The restructuring follows the appointments of a National Marketing Manager Caroline Chapple, and National Sales Manager, Denise Daynes.

The changes are part of the groups extensive global management restructuring. For the past three years, Club Med has invested $AU500 million refurbishing and redeveloping its existing resort properties in Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Pacific and rationalising those that no longer matched the Club Med image.

Club Med is in the process of completing a refurbishment of its Australian showpiece Lindeman Island.

This improvement of services is indicative of our commitment to Australia and to this region, Mr Gueguen said.
