After over a decade of exploring New Caledonia by bicycle, Bruce Ashley and Bike-it! Tours are now embarking on two new exciting cycle tours to New Caledonia in August 2013:

• Coasts, Waterfalls & Mountains tour   

August 2-10, 2013 

Waterfalls, two mountain range crossings, Melanesian homestay, along an historic and forgotten coastal route, Mt Aoupinie Flora Reserve, and some snorkelling and surfing.

9 Days, AUD$1,830 per person.  
 

• End-2-End tour                                      

August 10-20, 2013

A coastal surf camp start then up and across the main mountain range, 250km all the way up the east coast to NC's Northern tip for kayaking, day tours, fishing and Kanak culture.

11 Days, AUD$2,246 per person      

This is the first time that a choice or rides for small-group cycle touring has been offered to inbound travellers to New Caledonia!  

According to tour host and well-known Australian cycling guide author Bruce Ashley, "the rides encapsulate a diverse culture, scenery, environment and riding experiences, and let travellers on two wheels engage with one of Australia's nearby, but largely unknown neighbours."    

"Escape the cold of winter and join me on my next cycle tour in tropical New Caledonia as August is the best time -warm enough for swimming, but cool enough for some great riding adventures".

The tours have been put together and will be hosted by Bruce Ashley and Bike-it! Tours, with Nautilus Tours, one of New Caledonia's premier adventure touring companies, handling bookings and the on-ground logistics. 

Potential riders are urged not to take too long deciding, as according to Bruce Ashley "I'm thinking the five places on each of two tours will fill quickly!" A set of Deuter panniers is also being offered FEE  to riders that book before 31 May 2013 on the Coasts, Waterfalls and Mountains ride
