Andalucian hideaway DDG Retreat has added a new casa built just for 2 to its collection of exclusive private sanctuaries.
Nestling amongst trees at the Retreat’s woodland estate near Casares, Casa Bambu opens next week (3rd June) and has been designed especially for couples seeking a romantic getaway or a restful break away from it all.
Bambu is the sixth casa to built at DDG Retreat - but with four-hectares of land at this unique eco-haven there is plenty of space for guests to immerse themselves in their own space. No detail has been spared in ensuring that this is the ultimate bolt-hole for couples wanting to escape – and with its own hot tub, private spa treatment area and even an outdoor shower, Bambu is all about relaxation and enjoying private “we” time.
Decorated with artifacts and antiques collected from around the globe, Bambu has been inspired by the owners’ love for all things Asian and African. Individually designed in a boho chic style, the Retreat’s newest casa provides the serene and peaceful ambience often found in long-haul resorts.
Despite being designed specifically for couples, Bambu is spacious – the largest of the Retreat’s casas – with a sumptuous four-poster dressed in luxurious white bedding taking centre stage. There are his and hers dressing areas as well as 2 sinks in the bathroom - and although some guests may prefer to totally switch off, the casa comes with all mod cons including a large plasma screen tv, dvd and music system, a fully stocked wine fridge and even a N’Espresso machine to ensure guests enjoy their home comforts.
The Retreat’s owners are on hand to share their local knowledge and are happy to recommend and book restaurants – but there is also a private chef option on site with meals prepared and served in a pretty courtyard restaurant area.
Bambu is located close to DDG Retreat’s stunning infinity pool, gym, hammam, sauna and tennis court, and just a short stroll away is the beautiful woodland spa cabana where guests can indulge in pampering treatments, enjoying the spectacular views whilst being serenaded by the chirping of cicadas.
Guests booking into Casa Bambu this season will be treated to a special house-warming gift of wine and flowers on arrival.

DDG Retreat is an hour’s drive from Malaga airport. Airport transfers or car hire can be arranged. Prices for Casa Bambu start at 182.50 euros per person per night based on 2 sharing on a hotel b and b basis low season rising to 212.50 euros per person per night in high season.
Prices at DDG Retreat start at 72.50 Euros per person per night for Casa Cipres on an accommodation only basis, two sharing, during low season.
Flights are excluded but airlines flying to Malaga from the UK include Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2.
