New Adventure Ski Trip In Canada Takes On Winter Snow Storms In Comfort

Kicking Horse Powder Tours

A truly unique, action packed, guided adventure trip is available for the skiing public from this winter with British based Kicking Horse Powder Tours, a specialist operator providing snowsports holidays in Canada's 'Powder Highway' region.

The location is British Columbia's interior mountain ranges, home to some of the best skiing in the world and famous for its deep powder snow conditions. The Storm Chaser concept involves travelling around the region in a luxury converted touring coach – heading to a different location every day to seek out the very best snow conditions.

Any skier who has had some off-piste experience and is confident in deeper snow can join the adventure that's led by some of the most experienced and qualified guides in Canada.

Combining a mixture of Heli-Skiing, Cat-Skiing and traditional backcountry ski touring along with some ski lift accessed days, The Storm Chasers travel in comfort to their next destination after spending a night in one of the many partner hotels on the route.

Richard Barker, Managing Director of Kicking Horse Powder Tours explains, 'this is a new program for us but we've already tested it out during our 2014 media tour with a group of ski journalists and photographers. The concept is totally unique and covers a huge area of what's known as The Powder Highway and takes in resorts such as Kicking Horse, Fernie, Whitewater and Revelstoke'.

'This winter will be the first time anyone has access to this and we're really excited to welcome our first guests for what's a ski adventure of a lifetime', said Barker.

Other stop-offs on the tour include places such as Kingfisher Heli Skiing and Valhalla Cat Skiing and although these can be several hours apart, travelling on the Storm Chaser bus couldn't be easier. Packed out with a fully functioning kitchen, bathroom facilities and TV lounge area, you'll be fed with snacks, food and drink throughout the day – après nibbles and shot skis will never be the same again.
