Beds on Board

Beds on Board, the accommodation website with a difference, is adding new places to stay every day.

This innovative website puts you in touch with owners who want to rent out their boats in amazing locations, so you can experience life on the water without any qualifications or commitments. You'll also experience the destination just like a local when you chat to Beds on Board's owners - getting their recommendations on the best places to eat, drink, visit and shop.

So, whether you fancy London, France, Italy or Spain, here are just a handful of their newest boats to spend a night or three on:

Sorrento, Italy

In the heart of the historic city of Naples sits the Marina Di Stabia, overlooking the Gulf of Naples and within easy reach of Sorrento at the foot of the famous volcano, Vesuvius. This stunning, new-shape Princess 56 motor yacht (£509 per night – sleeps 4) is in pristine condition, with all the amenities you could possibly need for a luxurious 5-star stay. More information…

London, UK

If you're partial to a room with a view then you've picked the right boat. The Harpy (£500 per night – sleeps 10), built in 1904 as 'HMS Harpy'; a Customs and Excise floating office, has been restored to create an exceptional 4-bed London home with a jaw-dropping view of Tower Bridge.

The Heal's 1920's oak furniture, Egyptian linen, eclectic art, a great kitchen, fibre optic WiFi, SkyQ TV and Sonos/Bose sound system ensure that staying on board The Harpy will always be a memorable experience.  This unique home is a magically quiet place in the city; just the quacking ducks and swans for company. And, if you are extremely lucky – the chance to witness the raising of Tower Bridge from the water itself! More information…

St-Tropez, France

Stay on the iconic Cote d'Azur the way the millionaires do; on a yacht in St-Tropez. Beds on Board has new boats for you to choose between here – a custom-made motor yacht built entirely from wood, or a 34ft fly bridge yacht in the bay of Saint Tropez.

Yacht Ipsum (£593 per night – sleeps 10) has five en-suite cabins and is moored in the port of St Tropez itself. It has views of the famous citadelle and is the perfect place to discover the Provence region or the French Riviera. Take a stroll to the town centre, which is just 200 metres away, or sun yourself on one of two decks. More information…

The Sealine f34 (£149 per night – sleeps 6) is moored at Les Marines de Cogolin, in the bay of St Tropez. It features two cabins with an outdoor seating area and a sun deck, it's perfect for a beach holiday as the local shore is a short walk away. Dine in the restaurants of the marina itself or take the ferry to explore nearby towns. More information…

Antibes, France

Lucky Bear (£1,293 per night – sleeps 8) is a 25m Sunseeker yacht located in Port Gallice, Juan Les Pins – between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera. Antibes has a thriving art and music scene, beautiful beaches, and significant heritage sites including The Picasso Museum at the Chateau Grimaldi. More information…

Cap D'Ail, nr Monaco

Ferretti (£211 per night – sleeps 6/7) is a 57ft motor yacht moored either in Monaco or Cap d'Ail, France. If you've ever wanted to visit the historic principality of Monaco, with its world-famous casino, fiendish Grand Prix racetrack and palace, infused with the romance of the Grimaldi royal family, this is the perfect chance.

Cap d'Ail has been listed as a health resort since 1921. The quality of its seawater has earned it the Blue Flag for its three beaches, one of which slopes down gently to the sea and is easy to reach. It has a yacht club and two restaurants. More information…

Barcelona, Spain

M/Y Sicilia (£1247 – sleeps 8) IV is a 27-metre luxury motorboat alongside in Port Olimpic, a stylish marina between the beaches of Icària and Barceloneta, built for the sailing events during the 1992 Olympics. Port Olimpic has an excellent selection of bars and restaurants and a long, wide walkway that connects the two beaches.

Take a trip into town to discover one of the world's most vibrant cities, with its Sagrada Familia church, atmospheric Gothic Quarter, and the art museum dedicated to the Surrealist, Joan Miro. More information…
