Burma

The release of Aung San Suu Kyi in 2010 and later election to the country's parliament didn't just herald a new era in Burmese politics, it opened the doors to mainstream adventure tourism. Undoubtedly the golden destination of 2013, 2014 will see tourist numbers soar further, a trend that is set to continue over the coming years. Dragoman have several new trips between 4 weeks - 62 days to this beautiful country are the only major overland operator to offer trips there. The 4 week 'Kunming to Bangkok via Burma', takes travellers through three countries in a month: China, Burma and Thailand and costs from £1,900 per person, kitty from US$910. Ladakh and Kashmir

Brand new community Inca Trail Trek

Following the success of their award-winning flagship responsible tourism programme, 'Tarpuy Yachay', Dragoman are now supporting another community, the Ancascocha, and reaching Machu Picchu via an unexplored trekking route. The new "Moon Temple to Sun Temple" trek travels through a remote area of the Andes, through small communities and stunning mountain scenery beforetaking the train to Machu Picchu on day 5. According to Anki Nordin, Destinations Manager for the Americas, "the new trek bears all the hallmarks of a fantastic new experience whilst being an unexploited trekking route."
