NC Beer Month is Brewing

This April, NC Beer Month is off to a start. The festival is now in its fourth year celebrating locally crafted brews and highlighting the boom in the North Carolina craft beer industry. Visitors can join the festivities to explore the state's beer culture and discover the locations where it strives - from the mountains to the coast.

This year the festival welcomes new breweries:

The New Belgium Brewery opens its Asheville taproom this month. The taproom plans to launch behind-the-scenes tours in April and host exclusive pint nights and tasting events throughout NC Beer Month.

The New Sarum Brewing in Salisbury holds the grand opening of its new downtown brewery and taproom during NC Beer Month.

The Bond Brothers Beer Co. in Cary is planning a grand opening on 2 April.

A selection of festivals to enjoy:

NC Beer Month Olympics in Pilot Mountain on 2 April with NC beer prizes, beer specials and more.

Wilmington's Port City BrewHaHa Tour with beer and comedy. Hop on the beer bus on 7 April and discover Wilmington's best breweries.

At the Greensboro's Boil and Bru, enjoy a traditional Southern shrimp boil and locally crafted brews on the 8 April.

Visitors can join Weeping Radish Farm Brewery, the state's oldest brewpub for their 30th birthday party on the 8 and 9 April.

The original state wide beer festival, Hickory Hops on 21 April for those over the age of 21 in Hickory, North Carolina. Visitors will find hand-crafted beers from more than 50 local microbreweries and the Carolina Championship of Beers competition.  

Raleigh's annual Brewgaloo celebrating North Carolina beer with live music and local food trucks on 23 April.
