Nautilus Beach Resort, Coffs Harbour is offering one and two night packages for those looking for a whale of a time (and those who want to spot a whale!)
Similar to humans' holiday habits, as winter approaches, the humpback whales head north to a warmer climate.
Coffs Harbour is one of the best locations to watch the whales' pilgrimages because of its close proximity to the coast. Quite often, whales can be seen within minutes of leaving the marina. In fact, this season the Pacific Explorer enjoyed a unique experience when whales followed the boat to the mouth of the harbour.
Some whale watching tour operators have experienced a 95% success rate in spotting whales this season, which is better than the season average of 92%.
Nautilus Beach Resort's "Whale of a time" one night package includes accommodation in a Queen Room; Tropical Continental Breakfast at Deckchairs Caf Bar; and a half day Whale Watching Tour from $99 per person twin share.
If you have a little bit more time and want to see more of Coffs Harbour than just the whales, upgrade to a two night package for $199 per person twin share. This includes all of the above plus dinner at Deckchairs Cafe Bar, a Gourmet Picnic Hamper, entrance to the Bunker Cartoon gallery.
Whale watching is a seasonal activity best between May and early November.
Nautilus Beach Resort has just 75 low rise island style villas scattered throughout the nine acres of tropical landscaped beach frontage. There are plenty of resort activities to enjoy. Choose from three swimming pools, indoor and outdoor spas, games room, beachfront exercise cabana, two full size day/night tennis courts and a half tennis court, table tennis, beach volleyball court, and children's playground. And if you have time, there's all the fun family activities in the region!
