This spring, wildlife enthusiasts can head to British Columbia and go in search of grizzlies in the lush rainforests, spot whales off the coast of Vancouver Island and see salmon swimming in Campbell River. Vancouver Island Nature Highlights:
- Whale watching: from Victoria launch into the Pacific aboard a Zodiac powerboat to see orca, minke and grey whales, seals and porpoises. On the drive from Victoria to Tofino explore the Pacific Rim National Park and go in search for the Pacific grey whale, sea lions and puffins.
- Salmon spotting: drive from Tofino to Campbell River, 'the Salmon Capital of the World', and see up to six species of salmon.
