LONDON (7 June 2018) — The winners of the annual Big Sleep Awards are revealed in the Jul/Aug 2018 issue of National Geographic Traveller (UK). Selected by a panel of travel and hotel experts, the awards celebrate 51 of the best new hotels in the world — in 20 categories — including three readers' favourites categories.
From design dens, spas and eco-retreats to boutique boltholes, budget beds and gourmet getaways, the winners and runners-up are some of the hotel world's most exciting openings and renovations from the past 18 months. With awards that recognise level of service, hotel experience, innovation, value for money and style, each of these hotels is exceptional in its class.
Editor Pat Riddell said: “When a hotel is a destination in itself, you know you've arrived. Accommodation is a huge part of travel, which is why for a second year running, we're championing the very best new openings, from stellar safari lodges to unique B&Bs. And we're excited to reveal the nine hotels that readers have voted as their very favourite places to check in.”
This issue also comes with a FREE guide to the Top 20 Trips of a Lifetime.
