As the good weather promises to finally get underway, the National Caravan Council (NCC) is giving away free guides to caravanning in the UK and the opportunity to win one of six caravanning holidays. The NCCS Discover the Lifestyle brochure is filled with essential advice for those who want to know a little more about caravanning. It shows what buyers might find in a new caravan holiday home, as well as information on choosing a touring caravan or motorhome.
For those who already own a touring caravan, the 2005 Quality Touring Parks UK and Ireland guide provides information on caravan parks that have been Tourist Board inspected. Each park is then given a star rating by its independent assessor (* to *****) judged on the quality and cleanliness of its facilities, landscaping, atmosphere and ambience. Among the hundreds of parks that are featured across the country are some exceptional parks that have achieved the coveted 5 star rating. Theres also a handy guide to the parks on-site facilities (bars and clubs, indoor/outdoor pools, shops, etc) and practical information, such as electric hook-up launderettes, and toilet facilities. Theres advice for those with special requirements - disabled facilities, pets welcome, adult-only parks - too.
Both guides are available free by writing to the NCC, Catherine House, Victoria Road, Aldershot, GU11 1SS (telephone 01252 318251) or by email from info@nationalcaravan.co.uk.
