National Car Rental has fitted GPS technology to the majority of its fleet in France. This latest development ensures business & leisure travellers have an easier, stress-free journey to help them get to their destination safely and quickly.

Customers simply enter an address into the in-car system to receive voice and screen guidance en route to help them reach their destination. The quickest journey route is given priority, or drivers can choose to travel on toll-free roads only, according to their preference.

In fact, National was the first car rental company to introduce GPS to the French market in April 1996. All our GPS models offer voice guidance in five languages � English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. The system also offers detailed mapping of France with the major motorways and A-roads for neighbouring countries, making it easier than ever for business and leisure travellers to relax and enjoy the rental experience we offer.

�National is continuing to invest in the quality of its fleet across Europe and GPS is a natural extension to the quality service we already provide. �In addition to France, satellite navigation equipment is now available from National�s locations at Heathrow and Gatwick in the UK, from many branches in Benelux and over 60 locations across the US. It is also available in a large number of cars in Germany. National�s operations in Italy and Germany are investigating the introduction of unique vehicle groups with guaranteed satellite navigation.�
