The Napa Valley Wine Train is pleased to announce Quattro Vino, an exciting new culinary and wine adventure stopping at four of Napa Valley's most iconic wineries – Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, Merryvale and V. Sattui – featuring a three-course, small bites menu curated by Napa Valley Wine Train's new executive chef, Donald Young. The new excursion is set to launch on June 1, 2016.
“We are incredibly excited to launch the Quattro Vino Tour as a new Napa Valley Wine Train offering,” said Pat Colee, Chairman and Founder of Noble House Hotels & Resorts. “Not only is this the first time that we've been able to transport guests to the world renowned Charles Krug winery, but it also marks the unveiling of Chef Young's first new menu and the first rides on our restyled railcar. The Napa Valley Wine Train is a unique way to enjoy a premier dining and tasting tour through wine country – without driving – and with our new and upcoming offerings, it's better than ever.”
Since purchasing the Napa Valley Wine Train in September 2015 in partnership with Brooks Street, Noble House Hotels & Resorts has been making small enhancements to the Wine Train, including the 36-seat Pullman railcar that will be the home of Quattro Vino. Seattle-based Mallet, a design firm known for designing the first Ace Hotel along with many of Seattle's trendy restaurants, was commissioned for the transformation. Mallet adds a hip and contemporary vibe to the historic railcar while preserving its classic elegance and charm.
The Quattro Vino Tour is the first new experience to debut under new ownership, and honors the Italian heritage of Napa Valley, from Robert and Peter Mondavi, to Dario Sattui.
Check-in for the Quattro Vino Tour will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Napa Valley Wine Train Station. After departing from the station at 10:15 a.m., guests will embark on an unforgettable six-hour, 36- mile round-trip journey from the historic town of Napa to four premier wineries – Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, Merryvale and V. Sattui –
arriving back at the train station at 4:15 p.m. The Quattro Vino is a traditional rail seating event that creates the perfect environment for meeting new people and mingling.
Tickets for the Quattro Vino Tour start at $249 per person and include train fare, three-course small-bites menu and tours and tastings at Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, Merryvale and V. Sattui.
