Taiwan Tourism Bureau submitted six videos to this year's International Tourism Film Festival 2014 (ART & TUR) and came away with three awards. Taiwan Tourism Bureau's videos for 'Taste and Flavours,' 'Nature Tourism' and 'Culture Tourism' – all part of the thematic category – were all awarded first place. Taiwan Tourism Bureau is delighted with the results of its first participation at the International Tourism Festival, which was this year held in Porto, Portugal.

A widely-admired tourism film festival, ART & TUR, is a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT). The aim of the festival is to encourage the sharing of best practices and successful experiences in the tourism audiovisual promotion sector. This year's event marked the seventh anniversary, the films entered in the competition fall under four types and 16 categories.

Taiwan Tourism Bureau submitted six videos on each of the themes, and the wins included: three first place awards for 'Bravo! Taiwan FOOD' video in the 'Taste and Flavours' category,'Bravo! Taiwan NATURE' video in the 'Nature Tourism' category, lastly 'A spiritual journey to the East Rift Valley' also won first place in the 'Cultural Tourism' award.

Each of the short promotional 'Bravo! Taiwan' videos were developed as part of an ongoing effort to promote the island's rich diversity of experiences, wildlife and cuisine to international tourists. Centred on six different themes; including food, culture, shopping, nature, romance and lifestyle, the videos have been produced using a quasi-documentary format to present the actual experiences of foreign travellers exploring Taiwan.
