Cooking and walking

A choice of two holidays designed to liven up the tastebuds, one in Catalonia, Spain and the other in Tuscany, Italy.  In the former there are hands on Catalan cookery sessions, local 'jamon' tastings matched with local wines, combined with great walks in the Montnegre National Park and rambling through fascinating Barcelona.  In the latter, there are Tuscan cookery lessons under the watchful eye of Chef Cinzia Bonacchi; great walks on the fringes of the Appenines and opportunity to visit Puccini's Lucca. Price from £920 per person for one week in Catalonia and from £722 per person for two weeks in Tuscany.


Flora and walking

A range of holidays embracing some of the World's most beautiful gardens including those in the French Riviera, Greece, Madeira, Menorca and South Africa. A few examples to tantalise the senses are the seven gardens beside the Rothschild Villa on Cap Ferrat, (from £645 per person for one week; the Spring flowers of the Peloponnese (from £899 per person for one week); the 'Floating Garden' of Madeira, (from £1,035 per person for two weeks); the rolling, fertile and heavily wooded countryside in Menorca with its profusion of flowers, (from £779 per person for one week) and the Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Province (from £2,525 per person for 17 days).


Rail journeys

For anyone who enjoys the thrill of a railway journey meandering through a spectacular destination, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays have a choice of

New York State - a scenic journey - mainly by train - from Southern Ontario to New York City with fabulous scenery en route.  Highlights include, Niagara Falls; the Vineyards of Niagara; the Catskill Mountains and shop till you drop in New York City! Price from £2,575 per person for two weeks (B&B + 8 dinners).

 
The Great South African Rail Journey - a rail and walk holiday aboard 'Shongololo' meandering through some of the country's most beautiful and dramatic landscapes. Highlights include, the Kruger National Park; Swaziland; Kwazulu Natal; Hluhluwe; the Umfolozi National Park; Durban; the Drakensberg Mountain Range; Bloemfontein; the Cape Wine Lands including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Table Mountain and Cape Town with its iconic Table Mountain.  Price from £3,699 per person for 16 days, (also includes all excursions and entrance fees)
