“We have to act. We have to act now to try and clear up some of the appalling damage we have made to the ocean… and that is going to require positive action”.  Sir David Attenborough

Walking and trekking holiday experts, Mountain Kingdoms, have joined the campaign to reduce the use of plastic water bottles by teaming up with revolutionary company Water-to-Go.

In some of the more remote parts of the world which Mountain Kingdoms visits, recycling facilities are in their infancy and poor waste management has resulted in severe plastic pollution. Inevitably plastic ends up in rivers which ultimately flow to the oceans where it causes significant harm to all marine life. It's therefore imperative to reduce the use of plastic water bottles by providing a viable, safe, sustainable alternative.

Water-to-Go has developed a multi-use drinking bottle with a filter system that eliminates over 99.9% of all microbiological contaminants including viruses, bacteria and chemicals. Any drinking source can be used to fill the bottle, from a tap in a hotel bathroom, to a stream or even a puddle so it can be used again and again. This makes it ideal for the adventurous traveller whether on a trek to Everest Base Camp or on a walking safari in Africa.

Mountain Kingdoms have their own branded version of the Water-to-Go bottle and eligible clients can have a free bottle to take on their holiday, whilst others can buy a Water-to-Go bottle at a specially discounted rate.  For each bottle purchased, Mountain Kingdoms will also donate 15% of the price to Responsible Tourism projects that they support around the world.
