Canberra's Stromlo Forest Park has answered the call for more challenging circuits in Australia with the expansion of their jump trails, the Vapour Trail and Trump Card.

As mountain biking becomes increasingly popular and the skill levels of riders increases, so too does the demand for more challenging trails for riders to progress on.

Riders from all over Australia are travelling to Canberra to experience Trump Card and Vapour Trail. In fact, both tracks have already been given the tick of approval by the experts at Flow Mountain Bike.

Venues Canberra Director Liz Clarke said mountain bikers are actively seeking out trails of this calibre and often travel internationally for a similar experience.

“Top to bottom jump trails have been a key inclusion of world-renowned mountain bikes parks since the inception of “A-Line” in Whistler,” she said.

“The style of trail is always a huge hit with riders and the completion of Trump Card and Vapour Trail in Canberra at Stromlo Forest Park will further add to the reputation and attraction of Canberra as an international riding destination.”

A shuttle service is now in operation at Stromlo Forest Park, giving riders an opportunity to get a ride to the top of the hill so that they can spend more time exploring the various descents Stromlo Forest Park has to offer.

Stromlo Forest Park continues to cater for all levels of experience with fantastic trails for beginner and intermediate riders to develop their skills including “The Playground”, “Skyline”, “The Luge” and “Double Dissolution”.

Riders in Canberra are spoiled for choice with one of the most diverse trail networks in Australia with areas such as Majura Pines, Sparrow Hill, Kowen Forest, Bruce Ridge and Stromlo Forest Park each offering a unique mountain biking experience.

Visitors to Canberra are encouraged to stay and explore the different trails over a weekend, making time to explore Canberra's award-winning coffee and beer scene while here.
