Mother's Day Celebrations and Gift Ideas at The Langham, Melbourne

While the idea of being served breakfast in bed on Mother's Day is appealing, the reality may be less than idyllic. To avoid burnt toasted soldiers and over-done eggs, The Langham, Melbourne has come to the rescue and is hosting the ultimate Mother's Day breakfast in the hotel's luxurious ballroom.

Guests can treat themselves to toasted waffles with caramel sauce, top heavenly seasonal fruit or sinful ice cream with molten chocolate from the chocolate fountain or select smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

There will also be a buffet laden with bacon, grilled sausages, herb-crusted tomatoes, hash browns, yogurts, cereal, pastries and juices.

Bookings are strictly for  groups of 6 or more, making it the perfect occasion for families to get together. Adults may dine for $60.00 each or $69.00 inclusive of a glass of premium sparkling wine on arrival. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 are $30.00 each.

The breakfast kicks off at 8.30am and concludes at 10.30am.

Lunch  and Dinner at Melba Restaurant

To guarantee Mother's Day proceeds without any hiccups, Melba Restaurant recommends to book without delay as the family-friendly dining institution regularly books out in advance.

Featuring a grazing buffet, open kitchens, seafood, char-grilled steaks, stir fry dishes made to order, pasta dishes made in front of diners, Chinese dumplings, Indian curries, naans and dahls plus classic roast dishes, sushi and sashimi as well as cheeses and desserts galore including a fountain flowing with melted chocolate, it's no surprise that Melba's buffet is such a popular venue for family celebrations.

On Mother's Day, the kitchen brigade at Melba go all out to impress mothers with the restaurant's most exceptional stand out dishes including  lobster, soft shell crab, Tiger prawns and roast beef. Sweets dishes on offer include a decadent chocolate and pear tart, a Champagne mousse infused with orange blossom and raspberry cupcakes

Dinner
Whether the guest of honour loves seafood or meat or poultry or pasta, there's nothing to worry about as all will be served. Seafood lovers will feast on Tandoori prawn cutlets, Pacific oysters,  blue swimmer crab, smoked salmon, Singapore chili crab and mussels while others will have to choose between char-grilled sirloin steak, rotisserie spit-roasted pork belly and ricotta and spinach ravioli finished with decadent, aromatic truffle oil. A benefit of Melba is not having to decide, but being able to have it all. Mother's Day is only once a year, after all.
