MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (June 4, 2013) – As the end of school nears and families begin gearing up for summer vacation, Morefield Campground at Mesa Verde National Park proudly announces the addition of wireless internet to its location. This new convenience is free to visitors of the campground, which kicked off its 2013 season on May 2.

“The addition of WIFI to Morefield Campground is an exciting new amenity for our guests and one of the ways we are continually trying to enhance their stay,” said Cathy McKeever, director of sales and marketing for ARAMARK Parks and Destinations “Now they will be able to share their experiences at the park immediately via social media in order to keep in touch with friends and family as they travel.”

Four miles from Mesa Verde's park entrance, Morefield Campground is comprised of more than 250 campground sites within a beautiful, wooded canyon setting. The campground has campsite options for travelers whether they prefer to camp using an RV or with their own personal camping equipment.

Regardless of their choice, Morefield offers everything campers will need to enjoy their trip. The grounds are equipped with 15 full hook-up RV sites with water, electric and sewer as well as 17 group sites that can accommodate up to 25 guests in tents. Grills and picnic tables are also available at all campsites as is convenient access to firewood, gas, food and camp supplies. Moreover, hot showers and coin operated laundry facilities are available to campers. Campers also enjoy waking up to the all you can eat pancake breakfast which is offered daily at Morefield's Knife Edge Café for $7.

Throughout their stay, visitors will have plenty of activities from which to choose as Mesa Verde National Park offers numerous hikes and motor coach tours. Each gives a distinctive glimpse into one of the most significant archeological sites in the United States. One such tour is the 700 Years tour, which gives an historic view of the Ancestral Puebloans culture, architecture, horticulture and religion. Travelers are taken on a journey though time starting in 600 A.D. from the earliest recorded Pithouse villages in history to cliff dwellings from the 13th century.

“Visitors experiencing Mesa Verde National Park this year will experience a true balance of the old and new,” said McKeever. “After a day of exploring the most ancient of dwellings, guests will now have the ability to head back to camp and communicate their experiences online.”
