The bi-annual Championships in freefall, style and accuracy landing will take place from August 28 to 04 September, 2010. The last championships were held in Slovakia in 2008 and attracted 198 competitors from 28 countries.
The announcement follows a presentation to the International Parachuting Commission and the Fdration of Aeronautique Internationale spearheaded by the Aeronautical Association of Montenegro and supported by the National Tourism Organisation, the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Media, the Olympic Committee of Montenegro and the Municipality of Niksic, the host town for the Championships.
According to Sasa Radovic, Director of Tourism, National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro: These Championships will provide us with an ideal opportunity to showcase Montenegro as a destination for international events and highlight our long tradition of involvement in aerosports activities, which dates back more than 80-years.
