Eric Haas of Modesto is singing a different kind of blues the Im on my way to Blue World LakeTahoe jingle. What makes his excursion different than most peoples trips to Lake Tahoe is that he doesnt have to pay for anything. Eric, his wife and their child will arrive on the South Shore the second weekend of April via a limo from their Central Valley home. They will spend five nights at Harrahs, catch the Tahoe breeze while skiing down the runs of Heavenly Mountain Resort, participate in lessons and attend VIP parties all because Eric entered the Blue World Fantasy Sweepstakes.

We also plan on doing a little gaming, enjoying some good meals and just plain indulging in the fun atmosphere that is Lake Tahoe, Eric said. The February promotion sponsored by the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority had people vying to win the trip via radio and Internet. More than 3,700 entries were received. The intent was to reacquaint Northern Californians with the South Shores famous combination of natural and manmade attractions and to drive lodging business to the south shore.

Ive never won anything of this magnitude before. In fact, when notified of the win, I was a bit skeptical, Eric said. However, the reality of the situation sank in and the ensuing excitement and anticipation hasnt tapered off. Eric said that the LTVA has a cool Web site and some good looking packages that should be a hit with fans for the Lake Tahoe area. Keep your eyes on www.bluelaketahoe.com for the next promotion and watch for deals because you may also be on your way to the Blue World, Lake Tahoe.
