Hong Kong - A proud member of the green bandwagon, Mira Moon Hotel has confirmed its participation in the World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) Earth Hour campaign 2015. As a first-time participant of Earth Hour, Mira Moon Hotel has committed to a wide range of green initiatives to minimize its carbon footprints on 28 March 2015 (Saturday) from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Mira Moon Hotel kicks off the event by powering off non-essential lights across the hotel premises including the lighting on the façade and Secret Garden. Instead, Secret Garden will be lit up by candles for one hour to boost awareness about the need to take immediate action on climate change. Air conditioners in the corridors at hotel arrival hall, guest floors, lobby, restaurant and bar will be set to 25 degree Celsius minimum.

To further enhance our commitment to the world's sustainable development, Mira Moon has introduced eco-friendly limousine transfers, the electrifying Tesla, to guests who can travel to anywhere in Hong Kong with zero emission. All guests who have reserved traditional Mercedes S class limousines on 28 March will be upgraded to the award-winning Tesla Model S.

“These are the simple actions with minimal effort that we can do for our planet. Mira Moon encourages all of the external and internal guests to take a little step to protect the environment. With the latest addition of Tesla Model S to our limousine transfers, we provide our modern travelers with an electrifying arrival journey so as to reduce the carbon emission attributed to traveling. We kindly ask you to demonstrate support by powering off electronic devices and lights that are not in use for at least 60 minutes during Earth Hour!” said Jorgen Christensen, General Manager of Mira Moon.
