This August, Lisbon's small coastal town of Cascais will come alive with Festas do Mar, a 10-day festival of the sea with daily open-air concerts, performances and fireworks all culminating in a traditional street procession in honour of Our Lady of the Navigators – a devotional title given to the Virgin Mary. Elsewhere in the Lisbon region, the coastal town of Almada will play host to O Sol da Caparica, a four-day music festival with performances from more than 30 artists. The city's metropolitan centre will welcome Operafest Lisboa which promises to showcase the music genre like never before kicking off with an opera rave fusing the classical style with pop. Get creative at Berlin Art Week this September
Taking place over five days and now in its 12th edition, Berlin Art Week is a major festival on the city's annual calendar promoting some of the region's best creative talent. With a diverse programme of exhibits, workshops, performances and open studios, this year's event will showcase work from over 1,000 artists welcoming art lovers from around the world. Coinciding with this year's event, nhow Berlin is set to project a visual light installation on the hotel's exterior throughout the festival.
