Mindfulness Journeys Goes On Retreat To Assisi, Italy In June - A Unique Retreat Blending Mindfulness/Awareness Mediation And Nonviolent Communication

Mindfulness Journeys

Mindfulness Journeys is leading a double retreat to Umbria, Italy in June – think deep relaxation while gaining profound new tools for everyday life. We will offer Mindfulness/Awareness meditation instruction and practice in the morning and Nonviolent Communication in the afternoon with a beautiful, long break in between to enjoy the delights of our country house, exquisite Italian cuisine and culture, sculptured gardens, a swimming pool and mother nature all around.

Our days start with vigorous Lujong exercises followed by breakfast and Mindfulness/Awareness Meditation teachings until lunch. We break for a delicious Italian organic vegetarian lunch lovingly prepared by our Italian hosts. From our terrace we have endless Umbrian countrysideviews and sculpture gardens around us. After lunch we can enjoy tranquility and rest, relax at our swimming pool, truffle hunt and learn to make truffle homemade pasta, ride bicycles, write in our journals, go for walks or simply read. We can even take time to explore historical Assisi, only fifteen minutes away. We regroup for Nonviolent Communication in the late afternoon before yet another sumptuous Italian dinner and time with new friends on balmy summer evenings with gorgeous sunsets all around.

Led by highly qualified teacher, Brian Hilliard, a close student of Tibetan Masters over the past 36 years, Brian takes his deep personal mindfulness/awareness meditation instruction way beyond current trends of meditation retreats. Not only that, Brian is a super host with a delightful sense of humour.

Our guest teacher, Louise Romain of Nonviolent Communication is a personal, professional, and organisational development trainer and consultant. She is a co-founding member of NVC Education Europe, and is an active member of other circles in the NVC network, including Education in France and Africa, most recently in Congo and Rwanda.

Mindfulness Journeys is affiliated with destinations that are elegant, meaningful, uncompromising in quality of food and ecology offering the opportunity to connect with local culture and nature as well as deeply with oneself. Think excellent simple cuisine, stylish interiors, a balance between elegant not opulent and finding relaxation and techniques in the teachings of Mindfulness/Awareness.

What excites us most about our Assisi retreat is that we will be joined by well known Nonviolent Communication teacher, Louise Romain for this double retreat – we can learn and practice deep relaxation of Mindfulness/Awareness Meditation and the tools of NVC to take back to the practicality of our everyday lives, say Brian and Shannon.
