John Sutherland, CEO of Singapore based Dreamscape Journeys has just added Bali to his Medical Tourism portfolio.
He has partnered up with BIMC Hospital Nusa Dua, a new, state of the art hospital designed for the purpose of pioneering medical tourism in Bali. BIMC Hospital provides a range of services including cosmetic treatments and surgery, hemodialysis, dental care procedures, health checks and more.
John visited the new hospital last week and was more than impressed with the location, facilities and the way the hospital layout has been designed.
“The rooms are very spacious and you can tell that the focus is on providing excellent care for patients in a top class environment”.
My main focus is on patients seeking recuperation villas and top class luxury accommodation after surgery and Nusa Dua is the perfect location in Bali for this”.
There are numerous, excellent hotels and villas in the area that can accommodate Medical Tourists and it’s very easy for nursing staff to visit them on a daily basis, if required.
John Sutherland is already in discussions with several hotel General Managers in the area. They see the marketing of their facilities for recuperation as one option but they can also create wellness/spa programs for recovering patients as well as refer clients to BIMC Hospital should they be interested in beauty treatment beyond the hotel’s services.
Chrissie Lincoln, Regional Sales Manager from Amanusa Bali commented, “Following on from a successful meeting at ILTM Asia, Amanusa is pleased to be working together with John Sutherland, and we look forward to welcoming guests to rest and recuperate in the peaceful setting of Amanusa”.
John added “If you look at the explosive growth of tourism to Bali in the last 8 years, with over 2.75 million tourists arriving last year, Bali has massive potential for growth in the rising Medical Tourism market and I’m very excited about this partnership. For a start there are over 4000 cosmetic surgery tourists from Australia reportedly going to Thailand every year and I see a portion of that higher end market going to Bali, not to mention Medical Tourists from other parts of the world.”
